The Spreading Taint (or just "Taint"), our parent guild, is the pre-eminent GLBT-friendly guild in the US.  With nearly 3500 members (we have social players, PVP'ers, casual and hardcore raiders), Taint is the 2nd largest guild in the world and Proudmoore is unofficially known as the "gay" server in WoW. Heralds of Taint, the progression raid group which is the focus of this site, has a very active roster of about 35 members with people from many walks of life - spanning the whole globe (from Canada to Japan!).  Some of us are GLBT, but as many as half are actually heterosexual.  Some of us have only been playing for a few months and many others have been around since vanilla WoW.  The key thing to us is to provide a fun, mature and challenging raid environment for all our raiders, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or any other attribute.

What does progression mean to us?  It means we have 25m raids three nights a week and two optional 10m raids on a fourth night.  While we do not raid 4-7 nights a week like many hardcore guilds, we believe in putting forth our absolute best during the nights on which we do raid.  Our people are expected to research fights in advance, should have the most up-to-date info about their character/class, and should always come to raid nights fully prepared with consumables, a fight-to-the-death attitude for boss encounters, and maybe a glass of Jack Daniels on the rocks to make for a smooth evening.  Like every other successful raid group, we expect our raiders to have fantastic attendance - but we also believe that raiding should never BE your life.  We believe real life always comes first and we'll work with you to find that right balance to keep our raid successful and yet ensure you're able to take care of the important RL stuff that often comes up.

10m Raid Schedule:
Wednesday: 7pm-11:00pm

You can see the list of our primary recruiting needs under the membership column on the left.  While these are our primary needs, we will entertain any role/class.  Our chief aim when recruiting is finding good people who fit our raid family and can support our goals with their talent and gear.

Member Expectations:
* Know your class in and out, using many theory-craft sources to improve your play style
* Research new encounters online before raids, including watching videos
* Farm as necessary to have gold for repairs (especially as we're learning new content)
* Enchant and gem your gear properly.
* Have flasks available for each raid
* Attend raids on time and with a great attitude, understanding that some boss encounters, especially in hardmodes, will require alot of patience and diligence.
* Keep the drama to a minimum by being gracious and respectful with each other - we're all friends and real people here.
